Renate, Isabelle, Sherry, thanks very much for your comments.I think that cardboard is not very suitable for watercolor wet in wet but I was offered plenty of these little square sheets of this cardboard and I wanted to have a try with them.
Very nice, you are right cardboard probably sucks a lot of your color but maybe with multiple layers it might work well?
