Challenge 21 - Artist Supplies
As we organize ourselves for a fresh new composition, I must first thank you for your participation in the last challenge as well as your encouraging advice and comments.
Seeing a new beautiful painting on PADT is such a joy... and also, it gives us an opportunity to reflect on the many different ways that each of us paints and draws the same subject.
Some of us love to bring our subjects alive on our canvases while some of us would like to tease with just a hint of that reality through impressions of those same subjects.
All of it of course requires a lot of thought and careful execution. As John Carlson, the landscape painter said -"Confidence and execution come from practice and long experience." And as we paint and draw together on PADT, the journey to this 'practice and long experience' has become fun and so much more enjoyable!
We shall now have more time to work on the challenges... I have received requests from many of you to increase the submission time to 6 weeks as it gives everyone ample time to paint or draw the challenge and I definitely agree with you.
About the composition
This composition is inspired by the Old Masters... the dark background, reflections on the fabric... I will let your imagination weave its magic....
Please send a photo of your painting the latest by Sunday, July 17. The next painting reference will be posted on July 18th.
