Challenge 52 - Entrance to the Parliament of Canada in Ottawa

As we all go with our busy lives, finding a free time for art and creativity can be very challenging. With this in mind, all of us share incredible admiration for each PADT artist who did participate and gave us a very fulfilling pleasure of looking at and enjoying in their unique artistic marvels.

Thank you very much!

About the composition

This winter was, and still is very long and cold in Canada. We had since December constant -20 to -30 degrees Celsius, which did feel like it is never going to end.

Luckily it does eventually get better. And here I am,  outside on the first sunny day above zero degrees in front of the Parliament building in Ottawa taking pictures. I like to look at it as if it is a king's palace from the old times. It is really a beautiful architectural marvel with a big, cozy fireplace just beyond the gates.

After exploring many views and angles, I fell in love with this composition which capture the entrance gates, pillars, and the vanishing prospective along the street. I really hope you will enjoy capturing it in your art.

Please send your paintings by April 29, 2015. The next challenge will be posted on April 30, 2015.

Wishing you very happy painting!

Best regards,
Lela
