Well done:1)Perl's transparency, color, shadows and reflections 2) The best part - very believable water drops 3)Following creative artist's urge to change and improve upon what has been provided as a starting reference
Potential improvement:1) Glass needs more attention to make it believable - edges, color & transparency
Very insightful comments Lela, and very very beautiful painting Horst! I congratulate you in following your instinct and making changes in the original reference composition for your painting. Watching an artist pour his own individuality into the painting is really a treat for the eyes.
Perhaps, the glass could be made differently, but the middle part of the glass is sparkling!
I love the realness of the peaches with waterdrops I might add. The marbles are excellent also.Another pleasing appeal of this painting is the cool greens against the rich colors of the peaches. The glass could stand to be a little less heavy looking and the liquid might need a little more depth.
