Very beautiful Melissa. You created a whole world from a simple composition!
Thank you Jasmine. I came up with the idea as I walked home with the sun rising.
Simply Beautiful! Like a breath of fresh morning air.
Different perspective gives this a whole new story.
In a Zen story, the Buddha during one of his sermons did not speak at all but simply held up a white flower. No one in the audience understood the "Flower Sermon" except his disciple Mahākāśyapa, who simply smiled. His smile confirmed his understanding more than any words could have.
These paintings on this site shows so clearly that artists truly "see" and delight in the beauty of nature. Do you need any spiritual training when your eye is already open?
Congratulations Melissa on your brilliant interpretation and also congratulations to all other artists in this blog!
Thank you for all your comments, which are perhaps more inspiring than my painting!
It must have been pleasant walking home early in the morning watching the sun rise. Your painting is a lovely interpretation of your feelings.
Sounds like I had a night on the town! Just a short, circular, early morning walk in the country side, I'm afraid, but it was beautiful and now I have started painting I look for inspiration.
Hoo...so very nice! One of my favourite so far! That splash of light really does the trick. Bravo Mélissa!
