Challenge 69 - Rolling Countryside
Thank you very much for your lovely paintings and drawings for our previous challenge.
Many panting and drawing demonstrate long working hours and true dedication for excellence, so common among all PADT artists.
I am sure our visitors had a great pleasure enjoying a wonderful display of your original and creative art.
About the composition
Our challenge this time is a small village in Serbia, surrounded by vast countryside and huge, mature rolling hills. I certainly cannot be objective, when I say that this is the most beautiful place in the entire world. I was born there. And I did spend the most entertaining years of my childhood climbing tall trees and driving my grandma crazy hiding among the branches 20 miters above the ground.
It did have its own advantages. At such height I was able to clearly see my parents coming home much in advance, and promptly get down to the ground before they enter the gate, pretending that I have always been on a solid ground. I was only 5.
The true reason I chose this picture is that it shows a very nice display of aerial prospective. From the closest fields bathing in golden yellow-green fields to the most far away mountains vanishing into much lighter blue and purple tones. Please try to portray this slow gradation from warm a darker close by areas to the much lighter and bluer far away areas.
Please send your drawings and paintings before Aug 27, 2017. The next challenge will be posted on Aug 28.
Happy painting and drawing!
Lela
