I love the way this oil painting glows. I love it! So well made. I feel like I could reach in touch one of the pears.

Very life like. This painting reminds me of a tongue twister - "chiaroscuro" - using prominent contrasts of light and dark to create an illusion of three dimensional effect.

Very beautifully done.

I think Claire, in these pears you have done a great job of achieving a sense of perspective through control over colors. There seems to be a sense of space between the pears and the background.

Since we are talking of tongue twisters..check this out - "Trompe l'Oeil' - the french term for 'tricking the eye'. In this 'Trompe l'Oeil' paintings, many artists today use their deep understanding of colors and perspective to create optical illusions that depict objects in three dimensions.

I agree with Jasmine, very tactile painting, with great colors. You can almost smell the aroma of the pears!
