You really captured the roughness of the fig skins. I can see clearly how the shadows are cast much longer than mine; highlights look like they are almost glowing. Nice job.

Well I was waiting for more people to comment before I leave mine but I can wait no longer.
First of all want to commend you for such a beautiful piece of art. A pleasure to look at.
Your reds show through perfectly and the greenish yellow makes me think they will stay around for a little longer to ripen and only get sweeter.I love the warmth of your table that encircles this fruit in light.
And now for the negatives I have none.
Oh I forgot to mention that I love the little blimish of yellow at the lower left bottom of fruit on the left.

Had some trouble to post lately. ;((
Love the fish eye effect, pushing the viewer to the figs
Nice colors and glowing.
I would have "tone down" the wood in the foreground (but that's me) - It's a nice reminder of the figs wrinkles.

I feel like I could reach in and pick one of these up. Your highlights and reflected light are spot on. And, all eyes are on those figs that are painted to perfection.

I LOVE to hear different opinions. I've been very well trained since the childhood. My older "fashionable" sister would always tell me how ugly my outfit looks before I could get out of the door and "fixing" was inevitable.

All - Thank you so much! I would not even call this "art critiques". There is nothing more precious and useful an artist could wish for.

Byannick, I love your comment. It made me think what wood happen if I do tone down the table. Nothing bad, just figs would stand out even more.

Linda, Angela, Pat - it is always a special pleasure to hear your emotional, artistic impression. It helps me to escape from my always dominating hunger for technical proficiency.

Your texture and color in the figs is absolutely amazing. I love the way the back edge of the table fades into the background, giving a perfect space for these little gems.
Wonderful!

I am in love with your realism. It's like you could just reach in and eat one. (How do you eat a fig? Mine come in a cookie.) The wood is a real show stealer though. It's as good as, if not better, than the figs themselves. Bravo. Oh, and the vignetting effect is spectacular.
