Quite a unique style Nancie.
Makes one think & wonder - Beautiful!
wow, lovely painting. love your style.
I think this is not a real painting. It es an effect you made whith paintshop or something lide that. (sorry for my english)
I love the abstract qualities of this. I am familiar with your work, as I follow your blog, and THIS IS A PAINTING. Really terrific piece of work, Nancie.
Thank you all for your kind comments.
Anonymous, I assure you, this is a real painting. Done with acrylic paints and paint brushes on a 9x12 canvas sheet. What you are looking at is a style of painting I nicknamed "shapes" and it is way of looking at things that I learned long ago in high school art class. As Claire mentioned, take a look at my blog and you will see additional work done in this style.
Nancie awesome work.Liked the background and the deep reds in the rose giving it such lovely depth.People following your work are aware of your style of painting with shapes which does give a digital look to your traditional medium too and thats the uniqueness of your work.I love your style.Keep it up!
