Beautiful, Pat! I love that touch of pink in the backaground, and also the abstract qualities of the background that let the rose be the star. Really, really nice!
I love your background. The only thing I would say that might be better if the bud was not so large I feel it is competing with the main rose which is beautiful.
I love the diffused background that really lets the rose pop and create that 3D effect.
I always love your work Pat, and this is no exception. Love how you did only a few leaves with detail, then faded out the remaining leaves - gives the whole thing great depth. I do agree that I would adjust the lighting on the bud so it would appear smaller and not compete with the rose.
