Cheers! that is funny. Pat!
Way to go!
Good addition. The little guy seems a little overpowered by the strawberry ;)
Suggestion review shadows they are not consistent with light source.
Bon appetit! (in french)
Hi Pat,
Your painting and creativity you strongly demonstrated left me with no words. The composition is absolutely stunning. The story you presented here is so pleasant and so well executed. I am very impressed. You shifted the focus of the painting to the mouse so masterfully. Although the strawberry is in full light and very pronounced, by omitting details you persuaded a viewer to go in the deep shadow behind it and find that lovely creature executed in full details. This grabs the viewer’s attention and holds it strongly. The relative size of the objects is another winner. Gigantic strawberry and half of its size mouse, speak about his unstoppable greed and hunger. Don’t all of us recognize some humans masterfully covered in his skin? And at the top of all there is a hard proof that first impression does not matter, but greed and hunger do - leftovers from the previous one.
I completely forgot and still have no intention to look for areas for improvement. I simply love it.Thank you for sharing it with us!
Paaat, You DID it!...
You mouse is so cute! Love it!
Everyone, thank you so much for your comments. And, thank you again, Lela, for making it possible to do these challenges.
Wow Pat! You took the original composition and took it to so much higher level.
The light behind the strawberry, the sparkle in the eyes of the mouse, the glow of light on the strawberry top ... so beautiful!
Such a creative spin on this challenge, Pat! Love it!!!!!
