The purples and blues really pop against the light green background. I think there is some camera glare that is obscuring the painting. I think the wood beneath the figs is too stripey, but overall this is a nice painting.
I really like what the light green background does for the figs - it accents them beautifully.
Your colors do indeed "pop" - love that electric blue highlight on the 1 fig. And the green background works perfect in this.
